| Amano Yukiteru, a middle school student who does not associate with others, has cultivated a daily habit of maintaining a diary on his mobile phone.
One day, whilst daydreaming alone in his room, he is visited by a being calling himself Deus, a god capable of manipulating space-time. Using his power, Deus allows Yukiteru to read diary entries of events occurring in the future.
However, Deus has also endowed 11 others with the same gift. These 12 (including Yukiteru) persons must now compete against each other in a deadly survival game.
