| This is the immediate sequel to Hayate no Gotoku.
Ayasaki Hayate is a poor and unlucky high school student. Hayate came to be employed as a butler by Sanzenin Nagi after his parents ran off leaving him with a 150 million yen debt. Since then, the debt had been settled by Nagi and Hayate has survived many trials and tribulations. However, in order to repay the kindness shown by his master, Hayate continues to fulfill his duties with great zest.
