| Since she could see monsters, Natsume Reiko was alienated by normal people. In order to escape from the loneliness, she challenged monsters to fights. She took away their names, binding them to obedience, and put the names in a contract book, “Yujin-cho”. Her grandson, Natsume Takashi, has inherited Reiko’s ability to see monsters. He obtains Yujin-cho, an article left by his only relative, Reiko, and he resolves to return to the monsters their names which were taken away from them.
