| Yasuoka Shion is a young middle-school girl and gifted shogi player. However, due to the strict rules of the professional shogi association which enforces slow rank progression and forbids women playing against men, she is unable to prove that she is one of the best in Japan. All that changes when a private company organizes a competition open to all persons of all ages.
However, Shion's rise to fame is not without cost. 8 years ago, she witnessed the murders of her parents and that traumatic event has left her mute to this day. Now, the perpetrator of that event, who was never caught, has begun to stalk her...
