| At the beginning of the 21st century, due to both the rapid development of human lifespan extending biotechnology and robotics, Japan dominates world industry. On the grounds that this technology is dangerous, the U.N. orders Japan to impose strict regulatory measures.
The Japanese government refuses the order. They rebel against the U.N. and instead decide on a policy of "National Isolation."
In 2067 A.D., using advanced technology, Japan begins its complete isolation from the rest of the world.
Ten years pass.
In 2077 A.D., Vexille, a female soldier of SWORD, the United States Special Forces, infiltrates Japan. What she sees there is beyond her imagination. Devastation spreads as far as the eye can see. Is this really the Japan that wielded advanced technologies? No other foreigner has seen the true face of Japan during these 10 years.
