| Before computer technology had developed, Utsusyohi (the real world) was overlapped by another world.
Three junior high school students, Komori Taro, Ogami Makoto, and Nakajima Takayuki, live in a small town which has kept much of the atmosphere of old Japan. They each have a past that cannot be erased no matter how much they may wish for it. For unkown reasons, they obtain the ability to go to Kakuriyo (the other world) by releasing their souls from the body. Venturing around Kakuriyo, they begin to discover the connection between the two worlds...
