| | This anime is based on a popular manga serialized in Monthly IKKI until Dec. 2006 issue. (Currently, new chapters are released sporadically.) Yokomi Hirohiko is the ultimate railway fanatic who has stopped by 9,843 stations in Japan. He takes a female comic writer, Kikuchi, who thinks of the railway as just a means of transportation, all over Japan. Beginning with a trip to stop at all the stations of the Kururi line in a day, they then go on further journeys such as a roundabout trip to visit Tokyo and 6 prefectures using only a 130 yen ticket, visiting disused tracks, etc. Follow the two travellers who do nothing but ride trains without visiting the sights, restaurants, or hot springs.
