Description

It is the 18th century in France, not long before the French Revolution. Louis the XV is the current ruler. On the banks of the gently flowing Seine, Versailles enjoys prosperity. Paris is full of beauty but lurking under it is grotesque chaos.
One day, at dawn, the dead body of a woman floats down the Seine in a coffin. Her name is Lia de Beaumon, and on her coffin mysterious letters spelling, "PSALMS," are carved. Her younger brother, D'Eon de Beaumon, works for the secret police. He is currently investigating the serial kidnapping of young women, his sister being one of the victims. During his investigation, D'Eon discovers a past best forgotten.
