| Kasumi Kogen, the Village of Mist, is a town located somewhere nice in rural Japan. In this town, there is a training school. Surprisingly, it is the Shinobi Gakuen, a training school for kunoichi, or female ninja. It gathers competent students from all over Japan to train them to become kunoichi. Needless to say, the villagers are alumni of the school, and they run and jump, appear and disappear, as if the whole town were a big ninja playground.
To this strange town come a girl and a man. The girl is Himawari, who wants to be a ninja and respects "Ichikawa Denzou," a fictional television ninja, as her master; she is there to enter Shinobi Gakuen. The man is a newly assigned teacher, Marikoji Hayato. He was tricked into lending out too much money and is there to repay his debts.
They meet in this Village of Mist. Was their encounter merely by chance, or was it inevitable? A teacher and his student... could they become involved in a forbidden love? Other students like Azami, Shikimi, Himeji, and Yusura wait and watch the situation secretly.
Can Himawari become a full-fledged kunoichi?
Can she protect Hayato?
