| An evil alien life form, Dryus, assaults the Earth. The leader of the Space Patrol, Fighbird, pursues Dryus to Earth. There, Fighbird combines with an android that Dr. Amano was developing. Fighbird is renamed Hidori Ryutaro, and fights against Dryus to protect the peace of Earth. He appears to be a normal human at first glance, but because he is Fighbird, his actions are a bit off compared to a normal person. Usually he works for Dr. Amano as an assistant. He looks uncouth, always wearing a white coat and glasses, however, once an enemy appears, his personality changes.
