| "Kita he. ~Diamond Dust Drops~" ("To the North")
"The person I want to meet - is definitely under this sky!"
The intense cold of winter, the sensation of a refreshing summer. Everybody wants to experience just once the big land in the north - Hokkaido. Hiroi Ouji's game "Kita he ~Diamond Dust~" is based on that outlook on the world and is centered about the springtime of life. It is about the individual activities of the charming heroines and their experiences of youth. While expressing the characteristics of that time
in a subtle way, the viewer is left behind with a comfortable sensation of
"emotion".
In Hakodate, a port city in the southwest of Hokkaido, Akanegi Atsuko is working together with her mother in the fish store her father has left them. For Atsuko, the fish store is an important place, which holds a lot of her memories. Her fiance, Jinguuji Minoru is the owner of the Jinguuji Ryokan. One day, Atsuko sprains her ankle and is unable to drive the truck she makes deliveries with. A middle-aged man, Kurata Jouji, who often stops by at the fish store, helps her out. But when Atsuko returns to the shop after the deliveries are done, she is told something unexpected by her mother and runs away!
Shiroishi Karin lives in Kitami, in the eastern part of Hokkaido. She is 15 years old and is in a hospital. She suffers a lung disease called pneumothorax, and a medical surgery is necessary, but Karin was always too scared of the medical operation and has been in the hospital for the past 2 years now. Her hobby is to update on a notebook her own homepage on which she writes fairytales. One day, she receives fanmail, and when she opens the attachment, she is overwhelmed by the pretty photo of Mashuu Hiroshi!

Additional notes:
Kita e is actually a collection of 6 short stories revolving around six different young women, all of whom reside in different parts of Hokkaido. Atsuko's and Karin's stories are just the first two of these stories.
