| With the discovery of "Inflation Hole" in AD 2300s, it became possible to travel from this solar system to outer space going beyond the speed of light using "Inflation Drive". In space, 10 parsecs from Earth, a relay station for Inflation Drive known as the "Watcher's Nest" existed.
Kureha Misaki, a recruit of Special Ops Organization known as "Seraphim", headed for the "Watcher's Nest" as her next destination along with three other female candidates - Susanna, Luxandora, and Kiri - after finishing their training within the solar system. However, what greeted them was an invasion of abhorrent creatures from a parallel universe known as "Ghouls" through the Inflation Hole.
