| | Lin Minmei's cousin and manager of her singing career, Kaifun is a big Hong Kong kung fu movie star, but he is strongly anti-war and generally dislikes soldiers. He believes people should fight their own battles, instead of rushing off to die in some war. He probably got this attitude from the third world war waged before the conflict with the Zentradi began. Misa Hayase believes he strongly resembles her first love, Riber, who was lost in the war. I have also seen his name written Lin Gaifun. If Ling Mingmei is Minmay's Chinese name, his surname is Ling.
