| | HIBIKI is a class 3 citizen on the men's planet. He is very stubborn and he always lives up to his word. Even though women are the enemy in this series, he seems to eventually gain a soft spot for them all. In one of the episodes he says, "I...was protecting them...." In the beginning of the story he was inside the "Ikazuchi" (Thunder) when the praxis exploded, and the result was him being linked to his Bangata that was changed into a different form (when the praxis exploded.) that the women call the Vanguard, Hibiki is the only person who can used the Vanguard due to that link. Hibiki's Vanguard has the ability to unite with the three women (and their dreads) who were also present when the praxis exploded. Hibiki grows over time (like alot of the characters) and eventually he changes from a stubborn brat into a leader.
