She's a voluptuous woman who appeared from the Kokutentou (lit. Tube of the Black Heavens) sent from Tasuke's father. Of course, she's not a real human, but she's a spirit of the sun charged with bringing her master happiness.
Using her Kokutentou, she can bring inanimate objects to life: "All shall follow the sun-spirit, and none dares defy her. Awaken by my power, you who have no will! Come forth, soul of sun's brightness!"
She's a glory hog, and as such, has a selfish personality. Ruuan is doing her best for Tasuke's sake (well, in her own way), but where a bad situation becomes worse, you'll often find Ruuan involved.
The kindness she shows from time to time adds to her charm. She's a grown woman.

Blood type: Seems to be AB.
