Shaorin Shugogetten

From the official website:
At first glance, she's an ordinary girl (okay, a bishoujo(tm)). But she's really a Shugogetten (lit. Lunar Heavenly Protector), who emerged from the Shitenrin (lit. Supportive Heavenly Loop) that Tasuke's father sent from China. She's a moon spirit charged with protecting her master from anything that displeases him.
Shao summons various spirits called Hoshigami (lit. Star-spirit) from the Shitenrin, tirelessly working for Tasuke's sake: "Stars, make the heavens clear! Come forth, Rishu!"
She's a bit on the slow side, but a gentle-hearted girl, and all her friends call her Shao.
Although she's unsure of her own feelings towards Tasuke, she still lives under his roof. Even a moon spirit is a young lady.
Birthday: She doesn't seem to remember.
Blood type: B... sort of.
