Kurogane is a rude, violent, and very strong ninja from ancient Japan. He was banished to present Tokyo by Princess Tomoyo because of his "habit" of unneccesary killing. He had to give up his prized sword to Yuko in order to travel dimensions, swearing he would return for it. He's quite violent and hates Mokona and Fai, who tease him with stupidly funny names. He's the strongest when it comes to brute strength, and isn't friendly.
His past-His father was a lord and his mother was a priestess who prayed to create a kekkai to keep out demons. His mother fell ill and he desperately got her the best food and tried to keep her comfortable. One fateful night, his father rode off to fight demons and his mother insisted on going to the temple to pray. But while they were there, a hand shotout of the cloth and stabbed her with a sword. Curiously, the sword had a bat symbol similar to the one on the armor of the soldiers who attacked in Clow COuntry. Kurogane's mother fell dead, and the kekkai was broken. A demon approached Kurogane and was chewing on what was left of his father. Powered by anger, hatred, and shock, Kurogane went mad and killed all the demons with his father's sword, Ginryu. When the empress of Japan approached, he attacked her. She sent ninjas to restrain him, but he killed them instantly. A little girl cast a spell and an arrow of light pinned his hand to a piece of rubble. She approached the boy, who had his dead mother in his arms, and closed the corpse's eyes. "Let's let your mother sleep," she told him. He began to cry and later woke up in the palace where the girl revealed herself as Princess Tomoyo.

He served under Tomoyo-hime and is often a very tough and stubborn guy, though he can actually be very kind. Kurogane is an excellent swordsmen and possesses a dragon Kudan.
