an engineer of vector industries and shion's co worker, alan (allen in the US game) is a comical character who adores shion and can never find th guts to ask her out. He gets dragged into the conflict and into shion's adventures, and though he is not exactly the adventurous type, he would not leave shion's side. A cool, if slightly stupid, dude.
