Sasuke is one of the few survivors of the Uchiha Clan, one of the most powerful clans of the Leaf Village. He is the number one rookie genin and is considered a genius. Sasuke has a very mysterious and bloody past, and his only goal in life is revenge.

Sasuke vowed to take revenge on his brother, Itachi, the one who wiped out the entire Uchiha Clan. For this aim, he worked towards his goal everyday. The word "team mates" didn't register into his mind until Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura and Hatake Kakashi comes along and plays a big role in his life. Known as The Avenger, Sasuke was sought by Orochimaru, ex-Konoha ninja who plans to destroy the village.

Favored by the girls of Konoha, Sasuke is the number one rookie of the village. The Uchiha clan was massacred by his own brother, Uchiha Itachi. He thinks of himself as an avenger, and his sole purpose is to kill his older brother.
He's also known as the infamous rival of Naruto. Though they deny it, he and Naruto are (almost) close friends.
Having acquired the Sharingan-the bloodline limit of the clan-Sasuke will do anything to prove that he is not weak and is able to defeat his brother. So, when Orochimaru dangles "power" right in front of Sasuke...what else can he do but take the bait?

Uchiha Sasuke
A Genin level Ninja, Sasuke is the natural genius offspring of the powerful Uchiha Clan. One of the most outstanding clans in Leaf Village, the Uchiha's advanced possess the power of the Sharingan. Sasuke's talent is not only confined to the Sharingan; before this ability even awakened he was considered the #1 Academy Ninja and the #1 rookie Genin. It is because of these abilities that Orochimaru is interested in Sasuke and puts his curse seal on him; Sasuke turns out to be strong enough to survive the 9/10 chance of immediate death and regains consciousness. Just by releasing Chakra the curse becomes active and forcibly pulls out more Chakra, stealing his mind. At this point the the small mark on the neck grows to wrap around Sasuke's whole body. Sasuke's willpower is surprisingly strong enough to hold back this curse and after Kakashi performs his Evil Sealing Method on him, it becomes even easier for him to control it and use his Chakra normally.
Sasuke thinks of himself as an avenger; his only goal is to achieve power and be able to kill his brother, Itachi. He is even-minded and a bit arrogant, but has an inner coward he must still overcome.
