Takuto Kaneshiro is a metallurgy student who is aspiring to become an astronaut. One day, as he prepares to present a special ring to his girlfriend Maki, Takuto is pulled into a project to resurrect a mechanical alien codenamed Frank. Takuto loses his temper at Maki due to her habit of being quiet whenever she gets uncomfortable. That same night, an accident in the laboratory claims Maki's life and leaves Takuto badly injured. With the guidance of the enigmatic Mr. X, Takuto sheds his old life in order to take revenge on Frank for the laboratory accident...
