Spike Spiegel is truly the definition of cool. Faking his death to leave the red dragon syndicate a few years ago he teamed up with his friend and partner Jet Black. When the story takes off Spike is 27 and a force to be reckoned with. He is quite skilled in marshal arts and very serous about his training. His idol is Bruce Lee and his favorite music genres are Free Jazz and Blues. His right eye is a fake and a different color than his left.
His past remains uncertain though the series, but what you can gather from the flash backs and other things relating to it is that he was apart of the Red Dragon Syndicate located on mars. He was once friends with his now hated enemy, Viscous. Spike met Julia and wanted to leave the syndicate and live a more peaceful life with her. But Viscous who was to loyal to the syndicate got in the way of Julia and Spike as they where trying to leave. Spike faked his death, and Julia never came to the spot they where to meet at. More or less, that is it.
Now Spike is a bounty hunter that lives on Jet’s ship, the ‘BeBop’ with Jet, Faye, Edward and Ein.

Spike was once a member of the crime cindicit "the red dragon" after faking his death he began a life as a bounty hunter and frequetly runs into Viscious, a companioin from the Red Dragon, and they fight. Spike is 27 and has three major dislikes: Pets, Kids, and tomboys
