Konoye is the head of security to the Hanaukyo Mansion and seems to have a little Motoko in her(Motoko is a character from another series)as she hardly ever goes anywhere without her sword. Unlike most of the maids, Konoye sees Taro as her master and nothing more; she doesn't even seem to like him that much and only serving him because she hase= to and is extremely serious in her duties. She may or may not know that Yashima, her dark-skinned deputy, has a thing for her and often only does things so she can live out her fantasy(yup, you heard me right! But that seems to give Yashima unique traits). Konoye is very strict and it seems that only Taro can really cause her not to seem as hard and feelingless as she first was. When she is working she is all business, but seems to take time out to enjoy herself when the time calls for it.
Yashima is very loyal to Konoye, partly out of her own same-gender lust and partly because it's expected of her. This dark-skinned girl is very hot-temptered and quick to anger, so being a simple aide to Taro like Cynthia, Ikuyo, and Mariel are doesn't fit her personality and only has that new position because Konoye told her to. It seems fairly obvious to Ikyou that she has a crush on Konoye. Her last name is Sanae which Taro keeps refering to as her first name as "Sanae-chan" and she always corrects him out of habbit.

Head of the Hanaukyo Maid-Tai's security division, Tsurugi Konoye is an excellent martial artist by any means. Her signature is the katana that she carries around all the time, and she never hesitates to use it.
Unlike most of the maids in the pack, Konoye is one dead-pan serious person.
