Hatsumi is the identity that Eve took when she's in the world that Hazuki lived, as Hazuki's mute sister...of course she ain't really mute, though Hatsumi/Eve have it slip at least once (humming a tune).
Eve is actually the younger sister of Lilith and was the libary's caretaker before she "handed it over" to Lilith.
In the words of Lilith, Eve simply go and play in all those book worlds, by incarnate in each world, and then leave when her age reach 16, repeat the same process in another world. And that has been going on for tens of thousands of years, so long that even Eve lost count herself......

Hatsumi is a Hazuki's mute sister. However, on her sixteenth birthday, she speaks in her sleep and disappears in a flash of light.
