Inspector Megure

Inspector Megure is the main police officer in the series. He was the officer present at Shinichi's first case (as told in Story Arc 59) and would often consult with him after that. At the beginning of the series Megure is understandably weary of Mouri's help, but as Sleeping Kogorou "proves himself" Megure comes to rely on him more.
Megure always wears a hat to cover up the scar he recieved while on his first case. Megure is married to a woman named Midori.
