Suffering from Multiple personality disorder, annoying, self rightous, conceited Kadase Shima, 15 has decided to chase her dream; to see the universe with her own eyes.
Clumsy at times, but impressive in the programming, Shima struggles with her piloting at first, but quickly becomes a phenom in piloting and soon is called upon to save Earth with her skills. Alongside Otoyama Kouta, Shima finds herself at ease, but soon learns the power of responsibility and crumbles with her eyes gazed upon Kouta. Can she recover to save the world?

Katase Shima (AnimeNfo did a typo). Small, yet very energetic, considered by her classmates to be a true genius. Her heart is currently set upon Kouta who also has feelings towards her. She's an excelent pilot and catches onto new concepts quickly throughout the show.
