Kaito is a surfer champion. He is serching for the mermaid that he met long ago (which is Luchia). His parents died the same night he met Luchia. They were both famous musicians and love Kaito very much. Kaito is like the populist guy in his school and all the gils adore him(no matter what age). He doesn't know Luchia is the mermaid cause they are totally different. Kaito seems kind, strong and Luchia knows him as a pervert lol.

Kaito is a great surfer. When he was young he went on a cruise with his parents who were musicians. During that trip a giant wave overturned the ship and Kaito fell out. Luchia, who was close by, saved his life by giving him her pearl. But unfortunatly his parents died.
