He is a little retarded and clumsy.It is weird no one knew he was Dark, he didn't do that good a job hiding his identity...Because he is going to be the next Phantom Thief his family madly trains him to survive because if he dies so does Dark.Sometimes he wonders if his family cares about him or just Dark. His "love genes" cause him to change to Dark and he can't get rid of Dark until he finds his "Scarced Maiden" which means he has to confess to the girl he likes. He thought it was Risa but then it was Riku.

Daisuke is SO cute!I konw i dont have a life=(. Anyway,Daisuke likes Risa Harada who has a twin that he falls for later*_*. Daisuke has a gene that makes him transform into dark(a thief that steels alot of stuff). Ok back to the Harada twins. Now Daisuke likes Riku and its ovious(unlike his relition with risa). At first Riku was supposed to be Dark's sacred maden but now Risa likes him and Riku likes Daisuke. Man,that took a while! o well nothin better to do.....

The 14 year old hero of the story, a typical school boy who has a crush on a girl at his school, Risa Harada. He has inherited the Niwa family's genetic curse whereby, after his 14th birthday, his "love gene" activates: whenever he experiences feelings of love or intimacy, he turns into the phantom thief Dark. Very adorable and kind-hearted, he is the opposite of Dark and is always trying to stop Dark from doing crazy stunts. Later on in the series, he falls in love with the older twin sister, Riku Harada. Even if he doesn't look or act like it, Daisuke is very athletic and perceptive and can jump from heights that a normal boy could never be able to do. He has daily life-threatening trials from merely entering his home. One of his best skills is his keen ability to picklock any kind of mechanical or electronic lock.

a cute 14yr-old redhead with bright red eyes. well-liked by people, especially by his classmates who always ask him to help out with their duties and which he will gladly take over. a kind though a little clumsy boy.
in the begining, he had a crush on risa, the younger of the harada twins. however, as the story goes, he developed feelings for riku, his real holy maiden. a great pairing as both are sporty and outgoing but is serious and sensitive to others.
