Saki is the second Steel Angel created by Dr. Ayanokoji after Kurumi. She was first activated (temporarily) by Dr. Amagi, with the help of Dr. Brandow. She was then sent to destroy Kurumi so the Japanese army could recapture Dr. Ayanokoji. Later, after Dr. Amagi's "forced activation" fails, she is revived by Kurumi. From then on, Saki is completely enamored with her sister, and does everything possible to impress her and get her (Kurumi) to love her (Saki).
Whereas Kurumi is energetic and upbeat, Saki is much more reserved and eternally frustrated by her inability to make Kurumi fall in love with her. For this last reason, she is also frequently jealous of Nakahito's relationship with her sister, Kurumi. Like her sister, however, Saki is always kind and willing to help out others.
