Rapheal does show up till the middle or so of the series but he's still a cool character.
His one mission seems to be to anoy micheal,which he does by flirting with him and more perverted stuff..
Rapheal does seem to care about Noelle and Micheal alot..

Meet Raphael-sama! He doesn't show up until episode 13, but it's worth the wait. He's friendly, weird, mischevious, kinda ecchi and has a really big ego. He was a teacher at Mikael's old school, apparently he decided to take a vacation and see how he was doing *sweatdrop*, this is about the time when Mikael stops being a background character...and starts being a very abused major character *lol*.
Random fact: Rapheal is utterly tone-deaf but he keeps trying to play the guitar x.x
