She is very kind and doubts Louie, but won't give up on him and go againts those doubts. In the end, he ends up surprising her.

Melissa is a priestess who had gone and asked her god for her Champion. The god responded to her and said that the next person she sees, will be her Champion. Just then Louie crashes through and they make eye contact. And Melissa breaks down and feels so much dispair as her Champion is Louie.
Mellisa is naturally kind, but also can get edgy. She is always willing to prove that Louie can be a champion, even if it is against her will. She knows that she can prove that Louie can be a Champion and be a big hero some day but she also has her extreme doubts.
