Yamanaka Ino - a.k.a noisy-girl-slash-Sasuke-lover
Yamanaka Ino makes up one-third of the famed InoShikaCho group, more commonly known as team 10 and handled by Asuma-sensei. Belonging to the "inner" crowd of Konoha kids, Ino helped young Haruno Sakura gain her confidence, but soon broke their friendship due to rivalry for lone Uchiha survivor Sasuke's attention. Ino is known for being loud and tackless, but also for being supportive and thoughtful of her friends and loved ones. Ino's compassion was tested during the latter part of their Chuunin exam, whereby she and her team chanced upon Sakura who was then facing off some Otto nins. Ino makes a very symbolic move, tearing off her pride and helping the young Haruno in her fight in spite of their indifferences. The rivalry between them had ceased but still hasn't disappeared, however, making them friends once again.
Ino has learned the Shin-ten-Shin No Jutsu (Mind Body Switch Technique), the Yamanaka clan's signature move.
It is assumed but not quite believed that Ino has a special relationship with her teammate Nara Shikamaru, but nonetheless, may that relationship be friendship or love, ShikaIno still remains one of the best-loved pairings of all time.

Ino together with Akimichi Chouji and Nara Shikamaru they make up Konoha's Genin team 10.
Having a huge crush on Sasuke, Ino considers Sakura her eternal rival in both love and being a kunoichi. Although she looks like a girl who only thinks of her looks more then training her skills, Ino is considered to be the top among the female ninjas of her batch.

Yamanaka Ino is a girl that lives in Konoha. She and Haruno Sakura (one of the main charac.) used to be best friends. But due to some reasons they're now rivals.
Their objectives? To gain the village's best looking guy (in their opinion) first. So the race is to see who can get Sasuke to fall in love with who first.
But their rivalry doesn't just end there. They also compete in ninja skills. Ino's main skill is a ninpo technique where she gains the use of someone else's body.

Yamanaka Ino
A Genin level ninja, she is described as a very talented female shinobi by her Sensei. She was originally the first person to be nice to the timid Sakura in her childhood and was her best friend, but their shared crush on Sasuke has driven them apart and made them bitter rivals. After the second stage of the Chuunin exam, and to some extent the third stage preliminaries, Ino and Sakura's relationship becomes a complex friendship/enmity one- it seems as if they are basically good friends again but are still thrown into rivalry mode whenever Sasuke is even mentioned.
Ino appears to be a very enthusiastic sort of person, her energy-laden cheers contrasting ridiculously with the pronounced indifference of her teammate, Shikamaru. Much like him, Ino has a specialty jutsu that takes control of the opponent to some degree- Shintenshin no Jutsu (The Body-Mind Switch Technique). The name "Yamanaka" means "deep in the mountatin" and "Ino" means "a wild boar". "Ino", "Shika" and "Chou" are the name of three cards needed for a highly prized trick of "Inoshikacho" in the Hanafuda.
