Paiway, or Pai for short, is a doctor on board the Nirvana, although she becomes somewhat of an assistant for Duero when he gets on board. Paiway is energetic, but she is quite eccentric for a young girl, preferring to talk most of the time with her frog puppet, as well as be extremely curious about people's doings to the point of taking pictures of them. Her trademark "Pai Check" involves noting the more important parts of people's lives on the Nirvana, and their new situation with the men has given her more opportunity to "check" people.
Even though Paiway acts mature, there are times when she still acts like a small child. In times like this, she is able to rely on the rest of the crew for support, especially for Dita and Duero, who she considers herself close to. Despite her eccentricities, however, Paiway is a very effective doctor.
