Sho is the character focused on during the series. He is hard-working, and is always happy to learn new things. Even when he faces opponents stronger than him, he only sees it as a challenge. He was mistakenly introduced as a hotshot when he joined the Josui soccer team, but now he's "one of the guys".

Shou Kazamatsuri loves to play soccer, but due to his lack of height he couldn't make it to the first-stringers in his last school-- Musashi no Mori High and was made fun of. So he transfered to another school-- Sakura Jyousui High. There, he is at first gazed upon as some sort of soccer genius, before that is, they realised that he was only a third-stringer when he was in Musashi no Mori.
Shou is a very hard-working kind of person, willing to try his best and look for the good in everyone. He loves soccer, and so he managed to befriend Mizuno. the soon-to-be captain of Sakura Jyousui's soccer team. He even managed to earn the interest of Satou Shigeki-- who has exceptional soccer talents and a very laid-back view of life.
Shou Kazamatsuri earns the respect of his peers later on in the series and managed to-- despite his short height-- to become a great soccer player.

He become senior soccer. One day he decided that he become the world soccer. He knows that he don't like to be lazy... because he have something to do with his dreams...

Kazamatsuri Shou is the main character of "Whistle". Bright, bubbly and enthusiastic, Shou is a lovable and hardworking boy who would do anything to improve his soccer skills. Despite his height, Shou emerges to become a very good player and inspires everyone to play well as well. Shou cares about all his friends and teamates a lot and he accepts sarcastic taunts with sheer cheerfulness.

Was technically not allowed to play soccer in his former school of Musashinomori due to his size. Thus, Sho transfers schools (to Sakura Josui) in hopes that he can accomplish his goal of becoming the best soccer player on his team.
Though it won't be an easy task as he'll have to keep his training up. Even if it hurts him. Though, you must be asking yourself; "Why the heck would a school ban kids from playing soccer due to their height". I mean, it's just ridiculous. ^_^
