Kamui, is the name given to the Promised One. Kamui's name also means "God's Power". He holds the fate of mankind. He battles agains the forces of The Dragon of Earth. At first he didn't want to be part of it, because all he wantsis to protect the people he loves. Kotori and her elder brother Fuuma.

The One.
Kamui is X's key player, for it is Kamui who will decide the fate of reality as a result of the choice of his destiny: Kamui has the equal potential of either becoming God's instrument or becoming God's enemy.
As it is, it's all up to Kamui.
On the Promised Day, it is Kamui that will wield the sacred sword, the Shinken. But for whose side? And regardless of Kamui's decision, the victor has already been decided...

Shirou Kamui is the main character of X and the one who has to choose between being a Chi no Ryu or a Ten no Ryu. Since Chi no Ryu equals killing all of mankind and all Kamui wants is to protect his childhood friends Monou Kotori and Fuuma, he chooses, without realizing it, to be a Ten no Ryu.

Kamui Shiro is the main character after his mother got insinerated But before she died she told him to go back to tokyo.He's a hot tempured teenager and is sometimes looking for trouble. All he really wants to do is to preotect his friends fuma and Kotori.
